Teaching and support vacancies in schools across Medway
New Road Primary School is a Good school with Outstanding Early Years (Ofsted 2017).
We are a forward looking school who offer CPD opportunities and the development of our staff is essential to our development.
We are looking for loyal, committed colleagues to work as SEND Teaching Assistants in our Thrive classes. For more information about The Thrive Approach, please refer to the school SEN Information Report found on the school website.
We believe in our values and the school has a happy community atmosphere based on our key values; Consideration, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
A Growth Mindset ethos underpins our learning, building on the belief that every child can learn, no matter what their starting point. Our school motto is “Yes, I can!” and our children have very positive attitudes to learning, particularly when faced with new challenges.
We are a one and a half form entry, multi-cultural school and the children’s cultures are celebrated and some of our children become Young Interpreters supporting each other in school.
Children come to our school with a wide range of ability and our provision for SEN and More Able children is good. We pride ourselves on our Inclusive practice and we have a team of support staff who deliver specialised programmes to support access to learning.
If you are interested in working at New Road, please do contact us and arrange a visit and check out our website.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful candidates are subject to an enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.
Please note short-listed candidates only will be contacted for interview.
Interview date: 9th September 2022
