Balfour Infant School is seeking a friendly, flexible, supportive and committed person for the role of School Business

As an integral member of the office team providing general office support and administrative support to the School Business Manager you will be a vital and valued part of our school community. 

The administrative assistant is responsible for supporting the School Based Business Manager and the Headteacher with the administrative, financial and organizational processes within the school. They will also act as the initial point of contact for parents, visitors and other stakeholders so will be an ambassador for the school and embody the values, vision and ethos of the school in all interactions. 

The successful candidate will possess the ability to work collaboratively and supportively with others as well as demonstrate: 

• Proven experience of working in a busy office environment 
• Competency with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel plus a competent working knowledge of FMS 
• Ability to communicate effectively and confidently in both oral and written forms to a range of stakeholders 
• Ability to work to a high standard of accuracy and presentation 
• Experience and working knowledge of SIMs 
• Ability to apply knowledge of Child Protection and Health and Safety procedures and policies. 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work in accordance with GDPR legislation 
• Proven experience in assessing risk  
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
