Balfour Infant School is seeking a friendly, flexible, supportive and committed person for the role of Attendance and Data School Administration Assistant.

As an integral member of the office team providing general office support and administrative support to the School Business Manager you will be a vital and valued part of our school community. 

The attendance and data admin officer is to provide clerical support to the Headteacher and Business Manager of the school, act as attendance officer and school club administrator. The post holder is accountable to the school business manager in the first instance and ultimately the headteacher.  They will also act as the initial point of contact for parents, visitors and other stakeholders so will be an ambassador for the school and embody the values, vision and ethos of the school in all interactions. 

The successful candidate will possess the ability to work collaboratively and supportively with others as well as demonstrate: 

• Proven experience of working in a busy office environment 
• Competency with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel. 
• Ability to communicate effectively and confidently in both oral and written forms to a range of stakeholders 
• Ability to work to a high standard of accuracy and presentation 
• Experience and working knowledge of SIMs 
• Ability to apply knowledge of Child Protection and Health and Safety procedures and policies. 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work in accordance with GDPR legislation 
• Proven experience in assessing risk  
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
