Catering Assistant

The kitchen team take pride in the delivery of fresh and appetising food for both pupils and staff, and work to high standards following Health and Safety protocols at all times. These roles would suit somebody with a flexible and energetic approach who enjoys working as part of a committed and supportive team. 
 
Working hours are 10 hours per week (12 noon to 2pm) term time only + 5 Staff Development Days + 5 cleaning days. Equipment, training and induction will be provided and a Level 2 qualification in Food Safety is preferred. 
 
Abbey Court caters for pupils aged 3-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties, and is currently located on 2 Strood sites; Nursery, Primary and secondary (Cliffe Road) and Further Education (Rede Court Road). Facilities include an on-site school farm. 
 
Due to the conditions and complex needs of the pupils at Abbey Court School, continuity and consistency of support is paramount and therefore candidates for all positions will need to commit to the full working hours of the post.
