SITE CARETAKER – DAY TIME SHIFT 
  
Medway Scale, Grade D2 £25,185 to £28,142 per annum

Abbey Court School caters for pupils aged 3-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties, and is currently located on 2 Strood sites; Cliffe Road (Nursery, Primary and new Secondary provision, designed and purpose built specifically to meet the needs of our pupils) and Rede Court Road (Further Education). The primary site is also home to our school farm!  
 
Working hours are 37 per week (52 weeks per year) 
Monday to Thursday 6.30am to 2.30pm and Friday 6.30am to 2.00pm (Term Time) 
Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm and Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm (in the school holidays) 
Comprehensive training and induction will be provided. 
 
We’re looking for a practical, reliable caretaker to maintain a safe, secure, and well-kept school site. Duties include opening/locking up, repairs and maintenance, supporting cleaning teams, pool and minibus checks, and supervising contractors.  Strong skills in plumbing, plastering, general repairs and good health and safety knowledge required.  Full UK driving licence essential.
