Hours of work: 30 per week (Daily hours: 12.30 – 19.00  with half an hour tea break) 

term time only with one week in the summer to execute a deep clean

Start date: as soon as possible  

We seek to appoint a pro-active, self-motivated and conscientious Housekeeper to both complement and work within the existing site services team. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you must be an excellent team player who takes pride in a job well done and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Good organisational skills
  • The ability to work using your own initiative
  • Proven working experience as a cleaner
  • Good punctuality and reliability
  • The ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
  • Integrity

A key responsibility will be to maintain the fabric of the site to its current high standard and specific duties will include the cleaning of classrooms, offices, toilets and other general areas of the site. #

OFSTED – June 2016 said that “Staff morale and relationships within the school are very positive.”

And Pupils enjoy school, have a positive attitude to learning and behave well” 

97% of staff in a recent Staff Survey 2019 said

that they are made to feel welcome at Thomas Aveling and that behaviour in the school is good
